About the Game

Bad Street Brawler is a side-scrolling beat 'em up for the NES. You control Duke Davis, a former punk rocker and martial arts vigilante clad in sunglasses, yellow wrestling trunks, and long hair. The game features 15 stages where you beat up thugs, crooks, and circus renegades who rule the city streets. Players receive three moves per level, including punches, kicks, pile drivers, ear twists, and stooge hits. It supports 1-2 player alternating modes and was one of the few NES titles tied to the Power Glove peripheral. What stands out is the hilariously awkward, ugly, and entertaining cartoonish brawling combined with Duke Davis's over-the-top 'cool guy' persona and non-stop martial arts madness.
