About the Game

Batman Returns is a single-player action platformer loosely based on the 1992 film. The story follows Batman battling the Penguin (Oswald Cobblepot) and his Red Triangle Circus Gang, who frame him after abducting and murdering the Ice Princess. Batman uses batarangs (thrown with button 1) to defeat enemies and the grappling hook (button 2, held for swing) to navigate over gaps, while crouching (down) and gliding via cape. Power-ups include orange hearts for extra lives, yellow for speed, and purple for longer batarang range. There are two routes (easy and hard) across seven stages with boss fights. It stands out for precise grappling hook timing, Shinobi-like movement, and high difficulty with unlimited continues.
