About the Game
Beat City is a rhythm game for Nintendo DS developed by Universomo and published by THQ, released in 2010. Players use the stylus (DS held sideways) to tap, swipe, or hold to the beat in 20 colorful mini-games that progress from simple tutorials to complex challenges, earning star ratings and unlocking characters in the Beat Album. As Synchronizer, the player joins Groovy Whale (a purple alien whale) to restore music, color, and life to Beat City, which is being drained by the evil Cacophony organization led by Dame Isolde Minor.
