ESPN International Winter Sports 2002

ESPN International Winter Sports 2002 is a multi-sport winter simulation for the Game Boy Advance featuring 10 events. Players compete in alpine skiing, bobsledding, figure skating, snowboarding, speed skating, curling, and more, with modes like Trial (personal bests and medals) and Championship (select a country like USA or Japan and compete nationwide for pride). Controls are twitchy and accessible—button mashing for acceleration in bobsled, music-sync D-pad arrows for figure skating tricks and scores judged by roses. Graphics capture snow spray and ice shine, with country-specific performance differences. Standout for split-screen multiplayer, simple timing-based mechanics, and authentic winter feel on a handheld, though GBA limits some animations.
