About the Game

F-Zero: Maximum Velocity is a futuristic racing game for Game Boy Advance, the third main entry in the F-Zero series. Players pilot high-tech vehicles around challenging tracks in Grand Prix mode and other events. Mechanics include boost for speed, blast turns, and drift for cornering. Gameplay involves five laps per race with power-ups and track shortcuts. The story is set in the F-Zero universe twenty-five years after the original, with new pilots and cars. What makes it stand out is improved Mode 7-style graphics and speed effects on the GBA, bringing high-speed action to the handheld. Characters include new racers such as the descendant of Captain Falcon. Single-player and multiplayer modes available.
