About the Game
In Fire Emblem: Ankoku Ryuu to Hikari no Tsurugi, players take control of Prince Marth of Altea as he leads an army to reclaim his throne from the evil sorcerer Gharnef and the Shadow Dragon Medeus. Gameplay features turn-based grid battles where units move and attack with swords, axes, lances, or magic; classes like knights, mages, and pegasus riders determine stats and abilities. Story follows Marth recruiting allies, capturing castles, and using the sacred Falchion sword against the Shadow Dragon. Key characters include Marth, his sister Nyna, and the traitorous Dark Bishop. What makes it stand out is the permadeath system where any unit can die permanently, influencing story and endings, with over 25 maps and deep strategy.
