Fire Emblem If - Special Edition

Fire Emblem If is a tactical RPG strategy game exclusive to the Nintendo 3DS, developed by INTI CREATES and published by Nintendo. Players assume the role of a young man raised as the daughter of the Rigel Kingdom in a gender-ambiguous world where men are treated as women and vice versa. Gameplay features turn-based strategy battles on a hexagonal grid map, character recruitment, class growth, and skill customization with a heavy focus on romance and relationship mechanics across multiple routes. The story follows the protagonist's journey to prevent a war with the neighboring kingdom of Elibe while exploring themes of identity and gender roles through branching narratives. Key characters include the protagonist (named Kana in one route), the Rigel prince who is the protagonist's father, and various noble families and mercenaries. What makes it stand out is its innovative meta story elements and romantic focus in a Fire Emblem title.
