Fragrant Story

Fragrant Story is a tactical RPG for Nintendo 3DS developed by William Kage. Gameplay involves isometric turn-based strategy battles where players control kids from Otosan in job classes with unique skills. Combat uses a skill-timing spinner wheel mechanic to choose hit, critical, dodge, or block outcomes, with higher difficulty adding randomization. Story follows a whimsical tale in the kingdom of Flowergard, where players guide the adventure against the Aroma, guided by Rhubarb and Princess Papaya. Main characters are children from Otosan (exact names vary by campaign) with classes like warrior or mage. It stands out for its micro-SRPG scope, floral theme, charming voice acting, and accessible tactics system inspired by Final Fantasy Tactics.
