About the Game

Front Mission (Nintendo DS remake of Front Mission 1st) is a tactical turn-based strategy RPG. You command squads of Wanzers — powerful military mechs — on the tactical grid-based battlefield. Gameplay features grid movement, area-effect weapons, and real-time element during battles. Story follows two parallel campaigns set in the Second Huffman War: one with Royd Clive of the Oceania Cooperative Union and one with Kevin Greenfield of the United Continental States, both racing to control Huffman Island. New characters include added front-mission veterans like Griff Burnam and Glen Duval; protagonist is Royd Clive. What stands out is the dual-screen DS support for mini-map and enlarged combat views, the unique Wanzer system mechanics, deep unit customization, and expanded content with new weapons/scenarios/secret missions not present in earlier versions.
