Ganbare Goemon - New Age Shutsudou!

Goemon: New Age Shutsudou! is a 2D side-scrolling action platformer for the Game Boy Advance. Players control either Goemon or Ebisu as they jump through futuristic Tokyo stages filled with giant robots, pipes, and hammers. Gameplay includes platforming, simple combat with character-specific attacks (Goemon's fast pipe vs. Ebisu's slow powerful hammer), and occasional mech battles inside large robots. The story features a futuristic reimagining of Edo Japan with supernatural forces threatening the city; Goemon and Ebisu team up to stop the villain. It stands out as a streamlined port of the PS1 Shin Sedai Shumei with on-the-fly character switching, screen-moving attacks, and a new high-tech setting that updates the classic Mystical Ninja franchise.
