Gekitou Power Modeller

Gekitou Power Modeler is a role-playing and fighting hybrid where the unnamed player character uses a model robot to fight thugs who cheat at tournaments with remote-controlled toy robots. The story begins after school ends for the protagonist and friend Louis, leading to a national tournament where model battles decide the champion. Gameplay blends RPG progression—buying upgrades for power, special moves, and parts—with turn-based or action fighting using light and heavy attack variations for each of six models. Key characters include the player, Louis, and rival model owners. It stands out as one of the best fighting games on Game Boy with excellent multiplayer via link cable and a mix of story advancement and competitive battles.
