About the Game
Mario Sports Mix for Wii is a sports video game featuring four arcade-style mini-games: basketball, volleyball, dodgeball, and ice hockey. Players control their custom Mii characters or guest characters from Final Fantasy (including the Ninja, White Mage, Black Mage, Cactuar, Moogle) and Dragon Quest (Slime) in over-the-top matches with special moves and power-ups. Cooperative play supports up to three players (3-on-3), while versus mode allows up to four players (2-on-2). The story mode places Toads organizing tournaments after discovering four glowing crystals that bring the sports to the Mushroom Kingdom; players progress through individual sports then face a boss fight against the Final Fantasy Behemoth. Standout elements include the cross-franchise character roster, seasonal-themed events, and fun power-up mechanics like coin redemption.
