Mega Man Zero

Mega Man Zero (Rockman Zero in Japan) is a 2D side-scrolling platformer and hack-and-slash action game on Game Boy Advance. Players control Zero, the legendary Reploid hero, who awakens with memory loss and teams up with young human scientist Ciel to defend Reploid refugees from Copy X and the oppressive Neo Arcadia government. Gameplay features weapon collection and switching (with Z-Saber for slash attacks and Giga Attack), precise platforming across 8 missions with puzzle elements, life energy management, and boss fights against major Reploids. The story centers on fighting tyranny, protecting the oppressed, and discovering Zero's lost past amid the Elf Wars aftermath. What makes it stand out is its tight platforming, memorable soundtrack, emotional character bonds between Zero and Ciel, and faithful Mega Man series action with groundbreaking Z-Saber mechanics on portable hardware.
