About the Game
Mercs is a top-down run-and-gun shooter for the Mega Drive, where players as mercenaries rescue a kidnapped former US president from revolutionaries in the fictional country of Zutura. Gameplay involves shooting enemies, hijacking vehicles like jeeps and tanks, and battling through eight levels with vehicle segments. The story centers on the elite Wolf Force team led by Joseph Gibson (blue). An original mode adds weapon shops and character switching. It stands out for its arcade-style action adapted to console, cooperative elements in the original arcade version, and dynamic vehicle control.
