About the Game

In Need for Speed: Carbon - Own the City, players take control of a street-racing crew after their brother's death in a crash, rebuilding their territory in Coast City. Gameplay features free-roaming open-world exploration in a condensed map with crew management, where you recruit wingmen of three classes (Brawlers, Drafters, Assassins) for AI support in races. Main mechanics include territory conquest, new events like Escape, Delivery, and Crew Takedown, plus regular races. Customization options are expanded, and the story involves revenge against the crew responsible for the crash. Key characters are the player's brother Mick (Michael Rogers), girlfriend Sara, and wingman Carter. It stands out for being the first portable NFS with full free roam, unique revenge narrative, and innovative crew wingmen system that adds strategy to races, setting it apart as a standalone dark story from the console version.
