About the Game
Olympic Summer Games is a sports video game set during the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. Players compete in 10 track and field events including the 100m Sprint, 110m Hurdles, Pole Vault, Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump, Javelin, Discus, Skeet Shooting, and Archery. Controls use button mashing for most events with varying degrees of timing and precision required. Up to four players select from eight preset athletes (Paul, Chris, David, Kevin, Gary, Colin, Ian, Jon) and choose their nationalities or create custom names. Three difficulty levels support single-player or multiplayer modes, with standard Olympics and custom mini-Olympics modes. It stands out for its official Atlanta Olympics license and fast-paced multi-event competition.
