Over the Hedge - Beesten bij de Buren

Over the Hedge - Beesten bij de Buren is a 3D platformer/adventure game for Nintendo DS. Players control RJ the raccoon, Verne the turtle, and Hammy the squirrel as they sneak through suburban houses to steal household items and lure endangered animals into the forest to stop development. Each character has unique abilities: Verne pushes and carries heavy items and retracts into his shell for stealth, RJ uses agility and clever traps, Hammy jumps high. Story follows the movie's characters trying to save their woodland home. It stands out with its stealth platforming, item collection, and co-op character switching on handheld. Game modes include main adventure levels and a separate Zelda-like maze with Stella the skunk.
