Peace Keepers, The

The Peace Keepers is a side-scrolling beat-'em up in which you play as four young heroes — Flynn (Dick in Japan), Echo (Elfin), Al (Kythring), and Prokop (Jimmy) — who are victims of the corrupt corporation DM's genetic experiments. Set in the near-future 2015, the story follows the group as they branch through various routes to stop DM's leader Kulmbach from creating an army of bio-engineered super-soldiers and launching false-flag wars that would let the company dominate the world. Players control these characters in classic beat-'em up combat, performing standard punches, throws, blocks, and special moves that can hit multiple enemies on-screen; you also gain access to Norton and Orbot later in the game. Multiplayer supports up to four players in two-on-two versus mode with weapons and customizable backgrounds. The game stands out with its branching story paths, multiple endings, and more elaborate narrative than previous entries in the Rushing Beat trilogy.
