About the Game
Pocket Love is a bishoujo life simulation game for the Nintendo Game Boy where you play as a high school student at Koigahara High School starting April 14th. Choose your name, birthday, and blood type which influences your stats: Academics, Style, Fitness, Skill, Health, and Sense. Spend your time interacting with heroines like Ruruna Saeki (childhood friend, class beauty voiced by Mariko Kouda), Mizuki Takao (voiced by Junko Iwao), Yumi Matsuda (voiced by Yuuko Miyamura), and Mirii Morizono (transfer student, birthday September 21st, blood type A) by going to places, choosing clothes, and raising stats to deepen relationships. The story spans the school year until December 25th when you confess your love to one heroine. Gameplay involves watching animated events with branching results based on stats and choices, including weekend/holiday options. It stands out as one of the earliest portable dating sims with full voice acting CDs in some versions.
