Puchi Carat

Puchi Carat is a gem-stacking puzzle game on Game Boy Color where players control a paddle to bounce a ball and destroy multicolored gem blocks that fall in rows. Gems form connected groups horizontally or vertically; destroying one causes connected gems to fall for combo scoring, with special flashing gems clearing all of one color or the screen clearing entirely. Metallic blocks require multiple hits, and missing the ball adds rows but never costs a life. The game features a story mode with 12 quirky characters, each having unique attack patterns and dialogue, plus VS battles, time-attack, and rapid modes. What makes it stand out is its frantic, high-risk gameplay with over-the-top anime-style character animations and a story set in the GemStone kingdom where 12 powerful gems were stolen, allowing players to pursue personal wishes and dreams through puzzle battles.
