Resistance: Retribution

In Resistance: Retribution, players take control of James Grayson, a British Royal Marine who kills his brother Johnny during a Chimera conversion and suffers a breakdown, leading him on a personal war against the Chimera race. Set between the events of Fall of Man and Resistance 2, the story involves raiding conversion centers and leading a Maquis force into Russia to uncover the invasion's source. Gameplay is a third-person shooter with varied weapons like the Razor, Auger, and Chaingun, plus melee and vehicular combat. It features single-player campaign and 8-player multiplayer modes. What stands out is its third-person shift from the series' first-person roots, intense European setting, and gritty revenge narrative.
