Romance of the Three Kingdoms

Trio of Warriors: Chibi Fengyun is a 1992 Capcom arcade action game and the Famicom NES port of the Chinese arcade title Sanshou Zhici 4 (Trio of Warriors: Chibi Fengyun). Players control one of three Shu generals in a side-scrolling beat 'em up based on the Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Gameplay features two modes: foot combat (no weapons, limited dashes) or mounted combat (faster moves, weapons like Qinglong Yan Yue Dao for Guan Yu). Story covers the key Battle of Red Cliffs arc with tactical battles and story scenes. Playable characters are Guan Yu (full-power, unarmed or blade), Zhang Fei (technique-heavy, bite attacks), and Zhao Yun (speedy sword user). It stands out for its horse-combat mechanics, vehicle controls, and faithful historical battles with special finishing moves and boss encounters like Li Dian and Xiahou Dun.
