About the Game
Shining Force - The Legacy of Great Intention (Shining Power - Gods' Heritage) is a single-player turn-based strategy RPG for Mega Drive/Genesis, ported to Game Boy Color by Chinese pirate groups like 'Genius Boy'. Players command up to 12 Shining Force units on a grid map, using movement, attacks, and special spells while managing turns. Key mechanics include character leveling, job classes (e.g., warrior, mage), equipment upgrades, and status effects. The story involves Max the leader assembling heroes like Lowe, Mae, Ken, Tao, Hans, Gong, Gort, Khris, Anri, Arthur, Balbaroy, Amon, Diane, Zylo, Pelle, Jogurt, Kokichi, Guntz, Domingo, Earnest, Alef, Torasu, Lyle, Bleu, Adam, Hanzou, and Musashi to defeat the Dark Dragon. It stands out for its deep class system, anime-style characters, and epic fantasy narrative.
