Simpsons Game, The

In The Simpsons Game, players control the Simpson family in a sprawling platformer adventure set in Springfield. The story follows the family as they realize they are trapped inside a video game world and must use their superpowers to fight rising chaos and save the town. Homer can transform into a giant 'Homerball' by eating power-ups and smush enemies; Bart becomes Bartman for gliding and cape abilities; Lisa uses the Hand of Buddha for powerful spells; Marge has Clobber Girl powers for super-strength and invincibility. The game features original minigames parodying popular titles, drop-in/drop-out multiplayer, and cel-shaded cartoon visuals. It stands out for its hilarious parody of game tropes, voice acting by the original cast, and loose story tying into the Simpsons Movie era.
