About the Game
Slalom is a single-player sports racing game for the NES where you control a skier racing downhill across three mountains with varying difficulties. The goal is to reach the finish line before time expires while dodging obstacles like trees, flags, snowmen, other skiers, and sledders. With enough speed and momentum you can jump over hazards or perform freestyle tricks in the air for bonus points, but missing a trick or hitting moguls causes you to tumble and lose time. Flags must be navigated correctly to maintain speed, as skiing on the wrong side causes a snowplow effect. After qualifying runs, you can race solo levels with extra time. High scores are saved in memory until the console is powered off.
