Space Fortress - Crystal Dream

Robotech: Crystal Dreams is a canceled flight simulator game for Nintendo 64 based on the Robotech series. Gameplay is a space fighter simulation with resource management, where players pilot Veritech mechs in missions, return to base between levels for character interactions, upgrades, and mecha modifications, and respond to reports from various space sectors. The story follows Kyle Bartley, a disgraced former RDF pilot turned mercenary, as he fights Zentraedi forces allied with the Robotech Masters to protect Earth and the SDF-3 in a new solar system war between the Macross and Sentinels arcs. It was planned as an ambitious 3D space shooter with open-world elements but was canceled due to developer bankruptcy. It stands out as the only attempted console space simulation based on the Robotech franchise.
