About the Game
Stadium Events is a fitness sports game for the NES developed by Human Entertainment and published by Bandai. Players compete in four Olympic-inspired events—100m dash, 110m hurdles, long jump, and triple jump—using the Family Fun Fitness mat as a control pad by stepping, running, or jumping to move their on-screen athletes. It features single-player mode against the computer and multiplayer modes including tournament (beating six AI opponents in dash and hurdles) and Olympics mode (consecutive events with world-record scoring). No traditional story or characters exist; instead, the emphasis is on physical fitness and athletic performance. What makes it stand out is its groundbreaking use of the short-lived Family Fun Fitness mat, turning the NES into an exergaming platform that supported up to six alternating players.
