About the Game
The Sufami Turbo is a licensed accessory peripheral for the Super Famicom that enables the use of much smaller proprietary cartridge cartridges. Gameplay involves playing full games from either of the two cartridge slots while swapping or loading additional content in real-time. It was produced by Bandai to lower manufacturing costs for developers and allow quicker game releases on the Super Famicom. Only about 13 games were ever released before the device was discontinued shortly after launch. It stands out as one of the few officially approved hardware add-ons from Nintendo, offering a cost-effective way to expand game availability without the expensive standard cartridges. The system includes two slots for main game and secondary content, making it unique for the era.
