About the Game

Tetris Attack is a 1996 puzzle game for Game Boy developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo. Gameplay involves sliding colored panels from a rising stack to form horizontal or vertical lines of three or more matching panels (including special gems) to clear them before they reach the top; new panels drop continuously while attacks can send garbage from defeated opponents. The story mode follows Yoshi battling cursed friends and bosses like Bowser to rescue his island allies. Characters include Yoshi, Little Yoshi, Bowser, Kamek, and various transformed friends. Modes encompass Endless, Time Attack, Stage Clear, Puzzle challenges, Versus, and two-player local multiplayer. What makes it stand out is its accessible yet deep mechanics, colorful Yoshi-themed visuals and sound, challenging puzzles, and engaging versus battles.
