Daikoukai Jidai II is a 16th-century nautical RPG/Simulation where players assume the role of one of six protagonists (e.g., João Franco or Catalina Erantzo) and build a merchant fleet to explore the world, trade goods, conduct naval battles, hunt treasures, and engage in privateering or piracy. Gameplay features node-based ship movement, route planning on an open world map, port management, and a loose overarching story tied to historical events like the Spanish Armada or lost continents.
