The Legend of the Condor Heroes

Shachou Eiyuuden: The Eagle Shooting Heroes is a turn-based martial arts RPG based on Jin Yong's wuxia novel. Players control young Guo Jing as he journeys to avenge his father's death while navigating the Jianghu world, learning to master internal and external kung fu styles that counter each other. Key characters include Guo Jing, Huang Rong, and the villain Ouyang Feng. Standout mechanics feature deep kung fu training systems, exploration of martial realms, and Chinese voice acting with subtitles in traditional and simplified Chinese. It was the first fully Chinese-dubbed PS1 game, released for the Chinese market with 3D animation outsourced to Hong Kong, making it a pioneering title in cross-cultural JRPG development.
