About the Game

Wing Commander is a space flight simulation game for SNES featuring cockpit-view combat with your AI wingman. The player pilots the TCS Tiger's Claw as a rookie pilot in the Terran Confederation, engaging the Kilrathi in branching missions across planets. Key characters include the nameless protagonist (later Christopher Blair, known as Bluehair) and pilots like Angel, Paladin, Hunter, Spirit, Knight, Iceman, Bossman, Maniac, and Bluehair. It stands out with a branching open-ended story where performance affects ranks, medals, and ship access, permadeath of wingmen, and a narrative inspired by WWII in space and Star Wars, ported from the PC original with SNES cockpit adaptations.
