Yogi Bear's Gold Rush

Yogi Bear's Gold Rush is a 2D side-scrolling platformer on the Game Boy in which the bear hero must rescue the operators of Jellystone National Park from the theft of their operating funds by the ghost villain Jake. Players control Yogi Bear as he navigates six diverse stages ranging from urban cityscapes to the Wild West, employing standard platforming mechanics such as running, jumping, climbing, and using Yogi blocks to traverse spike pits and reach hidden areas. A unique collectathon system requires gathering 100 picnic baskets to gain extra lives, while vault entries demand collecting exactly 25 gold coins per safe and assembling them into gold bars. The story centers on Yogi Bear, his friends Boo-Boo and Cindy, and the park's defenders combating Jake's disruption, with the game standing out for its cartoon-accurate Hanna-Barbera visuals, inventive level design, and hidden secrets that reward exploration.
