Story follows the quest for Zhu as the puppy (or player-selected Zhu) journeys to the Palace of Zhu to rescue the ruler from the evil sorceress Mazhula. Key characters include Pipsqueak (fast runner), Mr. Squiggles (flying cape), Chunk (digging), Num Nums (high jumps), and Katie; Stinker provides shop hints and minigames. It stands out with its health diamond system, world-hopping minigames, and birthmark tokens that unlock unique abilities.
