Quake II for Nintendo 64 is a first-person shooter porting the classic Quake II campaign to the Nintendo 64. Players control the protagonist Viper, a special operations space marine sent to reconnoiter and destroy Strogg installations. Gameplay involves exploring a series of levels filled with enemies, collecting power-ups, and completing objectives like destroying orbital defenses and mines, with mission-based progression across the campaign. Story follows Viper infiltrating Stroggos, the Strogg homeworld, to sabotage their operations and end the invasion of Earth.
