About the Game
Archon combines a chess-like strategy board with real-time one-on-one combat; victory comes from occupying all five power points, removing every opposing piece, or imprisoning the opponent’s last creature. The light or darkness of the battle square grants the corresponding side a health advantage, and some squares change color with the day-night cycle. Each side fields different mythological creatures, while the wizard and sorceress can cast spells that imprison pieces, alter time, or revive a unit.
