Battletoads-Double Dragon

Battletoads & Double Dragon is a side-scrolling beat-'em-up crossover for the NES. Players control five characters: Rash, Pimple, and Zitz from the Battletoads or Billy and Jimmy Lee from Double Dragon. The story follows the Battletoads' mentor Professor T. Bird alerting them to the threat of the Dark Queen, who has allied with the Shadow Boss (from the Double Dragon series) to conquer Earth. The team infiltrates the giant Colossus spaceship to stop her and the Shadow Boss. Gameplay involves precise platforming, using abilities like the Toads' smash hits and the Dragons' Dragon Force techniques, along with modes for two-player versus combat. It stands out for the rare team-up of characters from two major franchises, featuring unique character-specific attacks, power-ups, hidden secrets, and boss fights against the Dark Queen and Shadow Boss.
