Bahamut Senki

Bahamut Senki is a tactical role-playing strategy game developed by Sega for the Sega Mega Drive. Players select one of eight master warriors, each controlling a distinct race such as holy knights, barbarians, sorceresses, or undead rulers, to conquer the continent of Bahamut across four scenarios ranging from basic 2-warrior battles to advanced 8-warrior conflicts. Core mechanics include turn-based map exploration, troop gathering and deployment, and creature-on-creature combat with three adjustable rulesets (Basic, Normal, Advanced) offering varying command limits and difficulty; two-player multiplayer support breaks up planning phases with arcade-style action battles. Unique soundtrack tracks play for each playable race. It stands out as the sole Square-developed title on a Sega console, blending Koei-style strategy with unique Archon-inspired pet battles and race-specific music.
