Bases Loaded 4

Bases Loaded 4 is a baseball simulation game for the NES where the player manages an entire season with one of 12 teams from Eastern or Western divisions. Take control of pitching, batting, fielding, and baserunning in single games or a full 130-game season mode that culminates in a best-of-7 Super Series. Defense uses a center-field perspective with a detailed mini-map overlay for positioning outfielders. Pitching allows D-pad direction and speed/break adjustments with multiple tap A during windup. Batting features simplified swing controls, bunting with B, and batter box positioning. The standout star system awards white stars for excellent plays and black stars for errors or strikes, influencing player performance for the rest of the game and season; a mercy rule ends games early when leading by nine runs. The game supports single-player, two-player, and watch modes.
