About the Game

Battle Jockey is a horse racing sports game for up to four players on the Super Famicom. In the single-player story mode, players train their horse and jockey through races, managing stamina by avoiding aggressive moves that cause rearing, careful steering around corners and jumps, and timing boosts sparingly to prevent collapse and win. The battle mode features chaotic tracks with power-ups and hazards for multiplayer competition resembling RC Pro-Am. The passive gambling mode lets players bet on horse odds and watch CPU races. It stands out for its top-down 2D action, unique horse stamina management system, and variety of modes in a genre popular in Japan.
