Beatmania GB 2 - Gotcha Mix

Beatmania GB 2 - Gotcha Mix is a rhythm music game for Game Boy Color where players act as a DJ, timing button presses and turntable scratches to match falling notes on a vertical playfield. It features a mix of 5 tracks from the arcade GotchaMix and over 20 licensed J-pop, anime, and popular songs like 'Automatic', 'Yume Miru Shoujo ja Irarenai', and 'Makenaide'. Gameplay includes Arcade mode with Normal and Expert gauges, Free mode for individual songs, and Versus for multiplayer. The portable adaptation captures the core beatmatching fun with chiptune-style audio adapted for the GBC hardware. What stands out is the extensive use of licensed tracks, bringing familiar pop hits to the handheld format.
