Blue Dragon - Awakened Shadow

Blue Dragon: Awakened Shadow is an action RPG for the Nintendo DS where players awaken from a frozen slumber with amnesia and control a customizable hero. Shadows from the series' protagonists are sucked away by a mysterious light, leaving only the player with the power to summon and control them as additional party members for real-time combat. The story follows the player in an open-world setting alongside recurring characters Shu, Jiro, Kluke, and others on a quest to restore the lost shadows and stop a greater threat. It features real-time action combat, character customization, equipment synthesis, and Wi-Fi multiplayer. What stands out is the seamless integration of shadow-based magic with the series' original story, offering dungeon crawling, boss fights, and co-op elements on the portable DS hardware.
