Castlevania - Bloodlines

Castlevania: Bloodlines is a 1994 action-adventure platformer developed and published by Konami for the Sega Mega Drive. Players select between two characters in an 8-stage linear campaign set in 1917 during World War I. John Morris, descendant of the Belmonts, uses the Vampire Killer whip for diagonal attacks and varied strikes. Eric Lecarde, a Spanish knight whose girlfriend was turned into a vampire, employs a spear and high jumps for aerial combat and traversal. Together they battle vampire Elizabeth Bartley and Drolta Tzuentes to stop Dracula's resurrection via multiple endings and gem energy collection. What stands out is the dual-character switching with unique controls and abilities, no time limit, smooth Genesis performance, and horror-themed levels with platforming and boss fights.
