Chou Soujuu Mecha MG

Chou Soujuu Mecha MG (also known as Chōsōjū Mecha MG) is an action-oriented mecha simulation game where players act as apprentice Puppeteers piloting handcrafted Marionation Gear robots. Gameplay involves over 120 missions accessible via a world map, including combat, racing, and destruction challenges, with each of the 100+ mecha featuring a unique touch-screen cockpit for controls like lever-pulling to swing arms, switch-flipping for car mode, and launch code inputs for missiles. Story follows an unnamed boy apprentice at the Galouye Workshop, who teams up with Kay and Anne-Marie to battle rampaging Automen puppets threatening puppet history. Characters include the unnamed hero (later named Jin in a spin-off manga), Kay, and Anne-Marie. What makes it stand out is its innovative DS touch-screen integration for cockpit-specific mechanics, creating deep and imaginative pilot controls in a large-scale mecha action experience with humorous and varied mission types.
