Contra Spirits

In the year 2636, the alien invasion continues as players assume the roles of commandos Bill Rizer and Lance Bean. The gameplay involves running, jumping, and shooting enemies in side-scrolling levels across multiple stages, with overhead areas requiring navigation to destroy specific targets. Power-ups include homing missiles, flamethrowers, lasers, and spread shots, while the SELECT button allows use of Helio Bombs. The game features four difficulty levels (Easy, Normal, Hard, Maniac) and password saving, but lacks weapon swapping and includes a strafe ability for control on the handheld. Story elements center on battling an alien invasion led by Red Falcon, with characters adapting from previous Contra titles.
