Elevator Action

Elevator Action is an action platform shooter originally released for arcades in 1983 by Taito and ported to the NES in 1987. The player controls Agent 17, also known as Otto, a secret agent who infiltrates a 30-story building from the top floor. Gameplay involves climbing stairs or riding elevators between floors, shooting enemies that spawn from rooms, collecting secret documents, and navigating increasingly complex puzzles to reach the ground level and escape. The story follows Agent 17's mission to retrieve confidential documents while dodging enemy agents in a high-rise setting. It stands out as one of the first games to feature stealth elements through shooting out lights to create shadows, combined with platforming and shooting mechanics that were innovative for the 1980s. Multiplayer modes allow up to two players in alternating turns.
