About the Game

Final Fantasy Tactics is a tactical role-playing game where players command units on isometric 3D battlefields to engage in turn-based strategy combat. The player follows the story of Ramza Beoulve, a highborn cadet from House Beoulve thrust into the Lion War, a conflict between two noble factions vying for the throne of Ivalice. Gameplay involves job system classes (like Warrior, Knight, Mage, Thief, etc.) with unique abilities, character leveling, and tactical positioning where units move and attack on grid-based squares determined by stats and job. Story modes include single-player campaigns with branching paths, recruitment, and deep RPG progression. The game stands out for its deep class-based strategy, political intrigue, and memorable characters like Ramza, Asche, Ovelia, and others in the Ivalice world. It features real-time clock, conditional battles, and innovative mechanics like the Gambit system for AI-controlled allies.
