About the Game

Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem is a classic tactical RPG divided into two books. Book 1 remakes the original Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light, following Prince Marth of Altea as he leads the Archanean League against the Dolhr Empire and the Shadow Dragon Medeus, wielding the Falchion. Book 2 continues the story with Marth confronting his former ally Emperor Hardin amid political intrigue and dark forces. Gameplay features turn-based grid battles with weapon triangles absent in this entry, permadeath for fallen units, class promotions, and strategic unit positioning. Iconic characters include Marth, Caeda, Jagen, and many recruitable allies. It stands out for its deep narrative tying into the Archanea saga and improved SNES visuals and mechanics over the Famicom originals.
