Girl's Garden

Girl's Garden is an action game where the player controls Papri, a young girl who must collect a certain number of flowers in a maze-like field infested with hostile bears and bees while time is running out. The story involves delivering the bouquet to the boy Minto before he leaves her for another girl named Cocco; bees provide bonus points, extra lives, and fruits, while honey distracts bears long enough for Papri to escape. Power-ups help avoid enemies, but the game uses limited sprite and scrolling capabilities creatively to display multiple elements simultaneously. What makes it stand out is its whimsical charm, first game work of Yuji Naka, and cute pixel art with detailed characters. Game modes are single-player only with progressive stages that get harder. Release was January 1985 in Japan for SG-1000.
