Gunstar Heroes

Gunstar Heroes is a fast-paced run-and-gun shooter where players control Red and Blue, two heroes fighting the evil dictator Colonel Red and his army to prevent them from awakening four powerful gems. The game features frenetic action with a unique weapon system that lets you combine different gun types to create new attacks, resulting in 14 different weapon combinations. Players can choose between Free Shot (move and shoot independently) and Fixed Shot (lock position while shooting) styles, adding strategic depth. Known for its intense boss battles, creative level design, smooth animations, and cooperative two-player gameplay, Gunstar Heroes is considered one of the Mega Drive's finest action games.
